Dominican Republic Ambassador Tours Newport-Fersan’s Manufacturing Plant

Newport-Fersan Jamaica Limited hosted His Excellency Manuel Antonio Durán Pilarte, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Jamaica, on a guided tour of its manufacturing plant in Kingston. The visit highlighted the strong ties between Jamaica and the Dominican Republic and reinforced the importance of collaboration in agriculture and fertilizer production.

Ambassador Durán Pilarte was accompanied by Victor Soto, Head of the Commercial Section, and was received by Dennis Valdez, Managing Director of Newport-Fersan, who led the delegation through the facility. Joining the tour were Plant Manager Hector Ramirez, Assistant Plant Manager Stacy Ann Graham, and Operations Officer Camille Ayre-Groves.

Fersan, which operates Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, has deep roots in the region. With a long history of supporting Caribbean farmers, the company continues to play a vital role in advancing food security, agricultural productivity, and sustainable development.
